Review – MOXIE Minerals Peep My Peepers Mascara & Full Monty Lipgloss

Idelissa of MOXIE Mineral Makeup has dazzled me yet again. You may remember a while back that I got to try out some of MOXIE’s foundation, veil, and eyeshadow. I was so impressed with her foundation that I have since switched from liquid foundation to mineral.
Of course I was excited and thrilled to try out her mineral “Peep My Peepers” mascara and “Full Monty” lipgloss!!

Her packaging is simple and nice, but I almost feel like it should be in some sort of fancy container. The quality of her products always far exceeds what I have experienced from many, many fancy brand name cosmetics with fancy packaging. You would think that the really, really good stuff would be in the crazy neat containers, but it just usually isn’t so. However, I like that MOXIE’s packaging is simple: it really doesn’t need anything fancy, the product stands for itself regardless.
To begin my review, I began with MOXIE’s mineral foundation and veil as my base. We’ve already covered how much I like her foundation.
Next, I decided to try her “Full Monty” lipgloss. Here’s a shot of my lips before and after:
I liked the color on the outside of the container. “Full Monty” was a nice, neutral golden-brown-rose color. I was even more pleased with the color after applying. The shine of the gloss brings out the microscopic sparkles that are hard to see otherwise. The gloss felt like it sunk into my lips, like my lips retained some of it’s moisture. The gloss was the perfect consistency, not too thick and not too thin. It applied evenly and didn’t have a waxy or sticky feel that I get with other glosses. There wasn’t any noticeable scent or taste, which I like. “Full Monty” had landed in a spot in my “Lipglosses Commonly Used” Bag!
Lastly, I tried out the Peep My Peepers mascara which I had read so many good things about before. A few days before, I tried out a mineral mascara from an unnamed big brand and was horribly disappointed. I have blonde lashes and they’re hard to see. Mascara really helps make them visable usually, but I honestly couldn’t tell a difference before and after the big brand mascara. I was hoping this wouldn’t be the case with all mineral mascara, and MOXIE proved that the other mascara just plain stunk! Here’s a shot of before (right eye) and after (left eye):
As you can plainly see, MOXIE Peep My Peepers mascara brought out my eyelashes splendidly. The formula itself wasn’t clumpy at all. I could actually make my eyelashes do what I wanted them to do with this mascara! My lashes appeared long, luxurious, healthy, and dark. A lot of mascaras I’ve used in the past have literally stunk; this mascara did not have that strong stench. Seriously, this mascara didn’t just make it to the “Commonly Used” bag: I have found my new favorite mascara!! I’ve worn this and only this mascara ever since I tried it out. It is WONDERFUL!!
To finish my look, I decided to go for a simple, every-day look. I only added M.A.C. Select Cover-up concealer in NW15, Beautique Eyebrow pencil in Taupe, and Smashbox Kiss ‘N Tell Eye Shadow Palette.
The result: an almost-nude, clean look!

I would love to try these products. The concealer doesn’t look caked on or give you a strange color on the spot you used it on. I like the lip gloss look, not fake or lips don’t looked dry.
