Review & Giveaway – Gyro Bowl

Recently I was contacted about reviewing a product I had never heard of before. As soon as I saw it, and saw what it was about, I knew I had to try it out. I was introduced to the Gyro Bowl, a spill proof bowl for kids that rotates 360 degrees, so food always stays in. My sons are pretty much always hungry, so I always have them a bowl of snacks out to hold them over until their next meal. Since they are so young, I am always cleaning up accidental spills. I thought a spill proof bowl was a wonderful idea for an invention and couldn’t wait to try it out. In addition to letting me review their product, the people at Gyro Bowl have also offered another Gyro Bowl for one of my lucky readers to win in a giveaway. Read on to find out more!

I was amazed when I first laid eyes on the Gyro Bowl in person. My oldest son and I took turns just moving it around, watching the bowl stay put while the rest of it was moved about. When it came time to test it out, I threw some Cheerios in it and handed it over to my 2 ½ year old son. At first, he carried it around carefully, afraid it would spill like all the other bowls he was used to. Eventually, he figured out that this bowl was different, and he’s become a little careless it. Even still, when he is using this bowl there is significantly less of a mess to clean up. He really almost has to try to spill food out of this bowl. Honestly, he did figure out he could just reach in and grab the food out of the bowl and toss it out if he really wanted to, but I discouraged that behavior and he hasn’t done it since. My son loves this bowl. He carries it around like a toy, and I think this product definitely doubles as a cool science toy. It is obvious that it has gotten my son thinking about the way it works, and he has spent a lot of time just studying the mechanisms of the bowl. The bowl also comes with a lid, which is awesome for traveling. My son enjoys putting toys in the bowl, putting on the lid, and carrying the bowl around the house with him–it’s kind of like a really neat briefcase for him! I absolutely love that this product is dishwasher safe because I truly dislike washing dishes by hand.

My whole family is super impressed by the Gyro Bowl. When we have visitors, they comment on how cool it is. I highly recommend the Gyro Bowl for any family with small children or children interested in science.
