Raw Foods Diet – Day 3

I am getting married 11/11/11 and I am still carrying the last 10 pounds I gained in my last pregnancy. I have decided to attempt to lose this weight through a mostly raw foods diet and exercise. I am going to be keeping track of and sharing with you all that goes along with the experience.

Today’s Notes:

Today wasn’t very good. I did mostly eat raw foods, but my cheat food was a really bad cheat food. I ate pears, broccoli, carrots, and oranges today. I said I wasn’t going to limit breads, but I had 2 cinnamon raisin bagels, 1 with strawberry cream cheese, which I probably should have counted as a cheat food, but I didn’t. Still not all that bad? Then, I had my real cheat food: a half of a double cheeseburger and some french fries. Yeah. I also did not exercise, so I don’t think I did very well today. I still maintain that I probably ate a little better today than I usually did before, but I wouldn’t say today was successful. I will just have to try again tomorrow.

Do you have any experience with a raw foods diet? How about any yummy raw foods recipes for me to try? I’d love to hear your suggestions, comments, and encouragements in the comments below.

I know you mentioned no raw meats, but does that include fish? If you’re into sushi, some sashimi might add some tasty variety while still sticking to the raw diet. :] Stick with it, you’re inspiring!
