Make Entering Easier With Firefox Addons + An EXCLUSIVE!

I use the Firefox browser to enter pretty much all of the sweepstakes that I enter.  I’ve come across two Firefox addons that have helped make entering easier, as well as one that I’ve never seen anyone mention on any sweepstakes forum or website before. As far as I know, #3 on my list is exclusive information to my readers! I’m sure there are more, but these are the ones I use on a regular basis:

1. Clippings – To me, this is a serious sweeper’s MUST HAVE. What Clippings does is store text that literally takes two clicks to paste into most any form field at any time. You can sort these text phrases into organized folders for quicker, easier access. All you do is right click a form’s field and mouseover and click the text you want to appear. Here is what you would see on my Clippings addon right now:

What all this means is less time filling out and typing the same things over and over and over and over and over! This addon makes entering a seriously simple task, with little brain work needed. This is especially wonderful when entering blog giveaways.

2. AutoFill Forms – A lot of people say you should use Roboform, but you know what? Maybe I just haven’t spent enough time messing with it, but Roboform seems too complicated to me. AutoFill Forms is easy-peasy lemon-squeezy. The addon adds an icon to the left of Firefox’s url field. Click the down arrow to set up your profile with commonly used fields. Anytime you need it to fill in your information, just click the icon…boom! done! Ever so often the form filler will incorrectly fill in fields, or won’t, but I have found it works great most of the time. This is a huge time saver when filling out forms with your contact information anywhere, not just sweepstakes. If you’re worried about your contact information being on your computer, this addon isn’t for you. However, I give out my contact information all the time to enter to win sweepstakes, so having it on my computer isn’t that big of a deal to me.

3. *EXCLUSIVE: iMacros – Okay, this has beena closely guarded secret of mine for a while, but what’s the point of keeping it to myself? I’m all about good karma, so here we go… iMacros records and automates actions you perform in a browser window. It can record you mouse click sequences and your inputed text fields. It’s setup is a bit more advanced than the other two (I’ll write a blog post for help getting it set up soon if needed), but this addon is awesome for entering magazine sweepstakes. In magazine sweepstakes, you commonly have to enter daily and enter the same contact information and click the same survey answers over and over again. iMacros makes this task as easy as a double-click. You only have to fill out the sweepstakes once while you record it. From then on, all you have to do is double-click the script title when you’re at the sweepstakes page and the script is run and everything  you had it record is performed automatically. Way cool, definitely check it out if you haven’t already.
