It’s That Time Again
I am so excited.
Tuesday morning I am going to get my sonogram for my second child. We’re going to (hopefully!) get to find out if our little bundle-of-joy-to-be is a boy or a girl. Personally, I’d really love to have a daughter. I’ll be perfectly happy with a healthy baby boy, though.
It always seems that going and getting a sonogram done–actually seeing your child on that little monitor, moving and everything–really makes the whole thing really real for me. It always makes me go into preparation-mode and start planning all the details. I’m already making notes about things I’m going to need with a second child.

Of course, I think of the big stuff first. For example, we’re going to be in need of a new baby crib. My one year old son does currently have a crib, but I think it is need of replacing. It was given to me second-hand and I’m just not confident it’s going to stand up to another child. Judah, my son, will be changing to a toddler bed soon, so I’m going to have to get one of those, also. I’m wanting a baby crib that converts to a toddler bed so that I only have to buy Judah’s toddler bed and I won’t have to buy one in the future for the new baby. I’ve checked online and read some Baby Crib Reviews and have found some great prospects that I will be adding to my baby registry I have yet to create. Do people get baby showers for their second child? I’ve always thought it was exclusive to the first child, but I have seen some people here and there getting showers in honor of multiple babies.
Another thing I am going to need to look for are Baby Strollers. Again, we already have one, but I’ll probably need another to accompany two small children or at least a more light-weight one than the one I currently have. The one I currently is nice, but you can’t fold it up or compact it in any way!
Ahh…so many things to think about and so many decisions to make!
